Version 1.2 contains updates to setup, currency selector, fiscal year and month selectors, additional year over year charting, and more.

Enhanced Year To Date Trending
We added six new graphs to the year to date trending page.
- Total Revenue (Opportunity) vs Plan

New Year Over Year Trending
It is often helpful to see how the current year is comparing to the previous one. We added a new tab for “Year over Year” that includes 19 new graphs.

Additional Detail Fields on Explore Screens
We added three additional opportunity fields to the detail section. The fields include “Total Revenue”, “Total Cost (Opportunity)”, “Total Margin (Opportunity)”. As these fields are the values from the opportunity, they may not represent the final costs or margins which are included in the financial workbook.
The following workbook tabs now have these new fields:
- Closed Last Month
- Closed This Month
- Forecast This Month
Current FY and Previous FY
The sales analysis tabs for the current and previous fiscal years were renamed to “Current FY” and “Previous FY”. This was implemented as part of the improvement to allow you to specify the fiscal year and month. (see the below setup improvement)
Improved Workbook Setup
There have been several improvements to the sales workbook setup.
- Advanced Where Clauses
We have added the ability to add/change an advanced where clause for both Closed Opportunities and Forecast Opportunitites.
The default advanced where clause for closed opportunities (shown in image above) will load opportunities that have closed since January of 2012. The default advanced where clause for forecast opportunities (shown in image above) will load forecasted opportunities between January 2013 and March 2015.
You can update these advanced where clauses or add additional criteria to limit opportunities to selected sales people or to specific opportunity names.
- Connection Info Saved
Previous connection information stored with this sales workbook will be loaded as defaults. This will allow you to re-configure the workbooks without re-entering some of this information.
- Connection Info loaded from wbsetup.txt
The Sales Workbook is the first workbook to load setup credentials from wbsetup.txt. The wbsetup.txt file needs to reside in the same directory as your workbook. The wbsetup.txt file should contain the Database Server (on line 1 of the file), Database Name (on line 2 of the file), User ID (on line 3 of the file) and optionally the Password (on line 4 of the file). All future workbook updates will reference this file to make it easier to setup.
There were additional enhancements made to configuration.
- Currency Symbol Selector
You can select the currency symbol to appear on graphs, metrics and tables. Select a currency from the pull-down and then click on the “Update Currency” button.
- Fiscal Month and Year Start
You can select when your current fiscal year begins including the month and year. This will update the sales plan tabs accordingly and your trend graphs.
- Advanced Where Clause – Closed Opportunities
The sales workbook will download all the closed opportunities for the current and previous year by default. Many users may want to restrict the download to certain sales people, opportunity names, etc. The following text field displays the current “advanced where clause”. Click on the “Change Where Clause” button to update the where clause.
- Advanced Where Clause – Forecast Opportunities
The sales workbook will download all the forecasted opportunities within the date range specified. Many users may want to restrict the download to certain sales people, opportunity names, etc. The following text field displays the current “advanced where clause”. Click on the “Change Where Clause” button to update the where clause.
- Custom Groups Expanded
The number of custom groups was expanded to 5 groups. A “Group Name Update” button was added to update the “Current FY” and “Previous FY” tabs for your custom group names.
